Happy Birthday Catherine!

I have two daughters. Emma is 20 months and Catherine just turned five. For Catherine's 5th birthday we celebrated with a cooking party. She loves to cook and was thrilled with the idea of a party centered around cooking. Catherine and her friends decorated baker hats, made pizza and ate cake. Yumm, what a wonderful day!!

Retro Renovation at Luxton Lake

I am very inspred by the transformation of this little house. I love that all the objects in this home are not "perfect" in the traditional sense.

This home is absolutely charming!

Hugh Comstock Story Book homes

These absolutely amazing homes were built in the early 1920's through the 1940's along the California coast in Carmel. Built by Hugh Comstock, he used native chalk rock, wood, redwood shakes and hand carved timber and tile. Inspiration came from children's book illustrator Sir Arthur Rackham, which he was fascinated with as a boy.

There are many more of these unique homes, but they are difficult to find on-line. However, if you are ever in Carmel these homes are easy to locate.

Miss Suzy

Love this book.

Miss Suzy is a little gray squirrel who lives happily in her oak-tree home until she is chased away by some mean red squirrels. Poor Miss Suzy is very sad. But soon she finds a beautiful dollhouse and meets a band of brave toy soldiers.

Welcome to Vintage Bébé

I am a mom to two darling little girls who loves to sew. My early mornings are spent happily creating chic baby bibs and burp cloths from vintage inspired fabrics. All of designs can be found in my shop, Vintage Bebe.

When I am not spending time with my husband, our girls or sewing, I enjoy all vintage things. Especially vintage children's books. Thus, I will be sharing some great books and more vintage finds with you here. Thanks for visiting!
